Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist who currently competing in the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport began in the form of an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina later won a Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, and a Golden medal in 2011, in the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia, who began her professional journey in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and the 2016 World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. In 2016, the WMC World Championships also staged in 2016, and she took home the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonina was most recently seen battling Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas during the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut came in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took the title with a TKO in the second round, and then won her two fights following and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko took a short absence from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko had the chance to beat Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina demonstrated her power of striking by tying Nievera with knees. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina took part in her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision, after winning her first bout. Antonina recovered from this defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was victorious in her initial three bouts, but lost the fights to Katlyn Cahookagian, Andrea Lee and Ariane Lipski. Antonina has recently been lost to Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
